Canon to show off 5 compact cameras this summer
Canon will introduce three new compact cameras on August 23, Canon Rumors claimed. Two more will reportedly be unveiled on September 15, though neither of them will be a G13 or other G-series camera. Also absent is a DSLR announcement.
Before the end of the year, however, one or two DSLRs could be announced, just not at the IFA show starting September 1. Many are hoping for a 5D Mark III, though the possibilities floating about have focused mostly on a 1D Mark V or a possible 6D that provides a cheaper full-frame alternative.
