HTC to show Windows Phone Mango devices at event

The nearing September 1 event from HTC will focus on the unveiling of several new Windows Phone Mango devices, BGR heard. A source said the unveils will include the HTC Eternity, with as much as a 4.7-inch display and due at AT&T, as well as the T-Mobile-bound HTC Omega, with a 4.5-inch screen. Cases for either were spotted about a month ago.

While HTC hasn't commented on this report, launch dates are said to come sooner than expected. The event coincides with the timing of Mango's official release.

The Eternity may pack a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, a rear-facing eight-megapixel camera capable of 720p video recordings, and an as yet unconfirmed front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera. The Omega will either get a 3.8- or 4.5-inch Super LCD, a similar chip and camera and an FM radio.

Whether the expected HTC Puccini tablet will be at the event remains to be seen, as it runs Android 3.
