Twitter user galleries roll out

Twitter on Monday quietly added user galleries for its photo options. Recent images uploaded to a service that Twitter already recognizes directly, such as Instagram, TwitPic, yFrog, and Twitter itself, are now curated into multiple views. It can either show a limited amount in details or expanded into a dedicated grid view.

The appearance of a photo directly depends on the post itself. If a photo is part of an official retweet or deleted, it doesn't count towards a user's gallery. Images posted before January 1, 2010 also won't show.

Only the official web page shows the user galleries for now. Twitter doesn't yet have a schedule for when the feature might show in mobile apps.
