HTC Evo 3D in white gets retail exclusive

Radio Shack scored a minor coup Tuesday with word that it had landed a special, white version of the HTC Evo 3D. The glasses-free 3D Android phone has the requisite bright white back along with silver, Apple-like trim instead of the usual red. It should reach stores on September 9, most likely for the same $200 on contract as the black version.

Functionally, the two should be identical. The Evo 3D is an adaptation of the Sensation with 3D added to the 4.3-inch, 540x960 display. It similarly switches from a lone eight-megapixel back camera to dual five-megapixel cameras that can shoot 720p 3D video or low-resolution 3D stills.

The hardware ships with Android 2.3 and HTC's Sense 3.0 layer mated with a dual-core Snapdragon processor.
