Fujifilm X50 specs outed by Promaster catalogue

The rumored Fujifilm X10/X50 camera has been spotted at the Something Awful forums in a print Promaster catalogue, revealing its specs and prices. Called the X50, the camera slots in under the company's X100 compact.

The X50 specs reveal a 12-megapixel, 2/3-inch EXR CMOS sensor, a 2.8-inch LCD, a 4X, f2.0 lens equivalent to 28-112mm. The "wide and bright" optical viewfinder is not the same as the X100's hybrid eyepiece, and the X50 will record 1080p movies and take RAW and JPEG photos. The only reference to battery life is that it will last for 500 photos per charge.

The image also reveals a relocated flash and either a moved or axed exposure bias dial.

The X50 will cost $600 at Promaster, or about half the price of the X100. The only thing missing from this leak is a release date for the X50. Its mere presence in the catalog suggests it's coming very soon, however. [via TechCrunch]
