Latest business notebook from Acer packs Core i5
PC maker Acer has just unviled a new-generation 14-inch business notebook, the 3.7-pound and 0.87-inch thick TravelMate Timeline 8481T. The ultralight includes a Core i5 and Intel's integrated HD 3000 graphics, but it adds TPM 1.2 to boost security. The notebook sports 4GB of RAM, which can be doubled, and a 320GB, 7,200RPM hard drive with anti-skip protection
The thin bezel ensures small dimensions for the magnesium-aluminum case, which comes with a unique Autolock feature to keep it securely closed. Other specs are commonplace, although it has USB 3.0 ports and a fingerprint scanner.
The notebook ships in September for $1,000.
