Samsung Bada 2 SDK out with HTML 5, more

Samsung has just announced the release of bada 2.0 SDK (Software Development Kit) for developers. The software can be used to create apps for devices like the just-leaked Wave 3 smartphone. It includes multitasking, HTML5 and a new advertising engine that includes in-app ads.

Unlike Android, Bada is a closed system. The new version gets NFC and Push Notifications support. As well as HTML 5, support for JavaScript is also present.

The new SDK is expected to focus on a more international basis, with Samsung mobile president JK Shin stating SDK 2.0 is the foundation for a leading mobile platform.

Apart from the Wave 3, a shipping date of which is unknown, it remains to be seen which handsets and other devices will include Bada 2. The Wave 3 is expected to be officially unveiled at the IFA show next week.
