Two early Win 8 tablet apps show up before Build
Two apps are already well under development for Windows 8 tablets, ZDNet has found. Microsoft isn't expected to unveil any technical info and software development kits for the tablets until its Build conference, but that hasn't stopped USA Today and Jetstream software from planning their own apps for the devices.
The USA Today app will take advantage of the touch-first, native environment of Windows 8 but retain the look and feel of the Windows Metro UI, Robbie Dillon, the newspaper's Art Director wrote in his online resume. The app, pictured below, seems to be just a concept this early into its life. It is expected to take advantage of HTML5 and JavaScript, as Microsoft already said Windows 8 apps will have this ability.
The other app centers around social traveling. As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Jetstream works very closely with Microsoft on upcoming versions of Windows. As such, it touts that when most companies begin development on apps for a new Microsoft OS, it has already been testing its apps for months. [via WinRumors]
