Dell intros two new ultra thin monitors
Dell has introduced a new range of ultra-slim desktop monitors. Both the 21.5-inch S2230MX and the 23-inch S2330MX are just 9.9mm at their thinnest point. Both LED displays support 1080p at 1920x1080 pixels each, and are capable of displaying an 82 percent color gamut for accurate color reproduction. They also have a super high contrast ratio of 8,000,000:1 for brighter whites and better black reproduction.
Both panels are Twisted Nematic (TN) type, have a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and have a 2ms response time with a 60Hz refresh rate. VGA and DVI ports provide connectivity on both the S2230MX and the S2330MX. Support for HDMI is provided by the included DVI-HDMI dongle. They are both Energy Star compliant and have achieved EPEAT Silver status for power usage.
The Dell 21-5-inch S2230MX monitor is retailing for $220, while the larger 23-inch S2330MX monitor is retailing for $250.
