Nikon in White event expected to unveil X810 cams

The leaked mirrorless camera due from Nikon is likely to be unveiled at an upcoming Nikon in White event, Nikon Rumors reported on Monday. The happening is scheduled for September 21 in Vienna, Austria, and its name is believed to be derived from the camera's available colors, one of which is white. Two different mirrorless bodies, codenamed X810, are said to be unveiled, with one being physically smaller and with less functions.

The source believes four new lenses will be announced during launch, each with dedicated power zoom buttons. Two of them will reportedly include a super zoom and a pancake.

The bodies should have new and improved video features not found on other Nikon cameras. An electronic viewfinder could be present, and they may be compatible with F-mount lenses.

The first of the two camera kits are expected to arrive at the end of September or early October. The other body and lenses are due about a month later. Pricing may be revealed at the event.
