Android 2.3.4 now out for US Cellular Mesmerize

US Cellular's Galaxy S phone, the Mesmerize, has now began receiving the software update to Android 2.3.4. The benefits are outlined online and include better power management, updated menus and settings, new shortcuts and easy-to-read displays. Text input and editing is also faster thanks to the improvements.

Users can also copy numbers, addresses and website addresses quicker and easier before pasting them.

The Mesmerize originally shipped with Android 2.1 onboard. Like other Galaxy S phones, it has a four-inch Super AMOLED screen, a 1GHz CP, a five-megapixel camera with 720p recording, and DLNA media sharing.
