Klipsch delivers first earphones for Android users


Klipsch has announced its first earphones designed specifically for Android devices. The new Image S4A earphones are compatible with all Android devices running Android 2.1 (Eclair) or later. The earphones include an in-line remote that gives users push-button control for music and calls, while it also comes with a companion app.

The free companion app, called the Klipsch Control App also allows users the ability to customize the functionality of users calls and music. For phone calls, users can configure the device to answer and end calls, mute the microphone and initiate a redial. For listening to music, the controls can be designed to give users the ability to control the volume, play and pause tracks as well as skip backwards and forwards through tracks. Android users can also initiate voice searches and voice commands using the inline remote.

The design includes a dynamic moving coil micro speaker and has a frequency response of 10Hz – 19KHz. Impedence is 18-ohm while sensitivity is 100db SPL/mW.

The Klipsch Image S4A earphones for Android devices are available now for $100.
