MoviePass finds new partner for unlimited movies

MoviePass is back following its earlier freeze, this time with a partnership with Hollywood Movie Money. Together, the companies offers moviegoers unlimited access to movies at theaters for a fixed monthly fee. It's due out soon as a "limited private beta," with early subscribers getting the ability to send out invites to friends and family.

Subscribers will have access to more than 36,000 screens in Hollywood Movie Money's network of participating theaters. Users will need to select the movie they want to see at home and print out the Hollywood Movie Money vouchers to take to the theater. A mobile version of the service is due out for an early 2012 release.

MoviePass will pay theaters the full price of admission, according to CEO of Quantum Rewards, who operates Hollywood Movie Money. In addition to the unlimited movies, MoviePass members will also get the chance to view early screenings, promotions, set location visits, prizes, and other perks.

Exact pricing isn't revealed, as MoviePass will test a Zone pricing model based on the average ticket price in a member's market.

Earlier in July, the MoviePass service was frozen as AMC theaters claimed it didn't have its consent.
