Revo promises K2 iPod tower due in October
Scotland's Revo Technologies has just introduced the K2 tower. It supports DAB, DAB+, FM and Internet radio and can accommodate iPods, iPads and iPhones, playing back their audio and video files. The K2 also streams music from connected computers and supports the Last.fm music service.
The K2 has dual Class D amps and delivers 40W to the four neodymium Balanced Mode Radiator speakers. An OLED display is invisible until it's turned on, while the iOS device dock motorizes out to accommodate them. Other connections include a stereo RCA output, digital optical output, Apple video output and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
iPod touch and iPhone users can download Revo's RadioControl App for the device, allowing control of the DAB, FM, Internet radio and Last.fm playback. Volume, equality settings and likes can also be adjusted through this.
The K2 ships with a free, 31-day Last.fm trial subscription, which costs £3 ($4.90) per month thereafter. The device ships on October 17, priced at £299.95 (about $490).
