Sony Vaio L all-in-one first with HDMI 3D input

Sony's product launches before the IFA show are continuing, with an all-in-one Vaio L the latest unveiling. The 24-inch 3D desktop has a multi-touch display and a touch-sensitive bezel. It will get a choice of second-gen Intel Core processors, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics, 8GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive.

The 3D-capable display will get content from its Blu-ray player/DVD burner combo drive. It can also convert 2D content to 3D, however, simply by pressing a button. A 3D HDMI input will also let users connect their PS3 system to play compatible games in 3D or connect other sources without the PC being on. Sony says it's the first all-in-one PC with such an input. An HDMI output is also present.

One pair of active-shutter 3D glasses are included with the PC and it sounds like glasses from 3D Bravia HDTVs are compatible as well.

The computer lets users navigate files without the need for the keyboard or mouse thanks to that touch display and bezel. The bezel also houses the 3D transmitter and an HD web camera.

Some unspecified countries in Europe will get the all-in-one PC in October, with prices yet to be announced.
