Bell to bring out 4G LTE network with Galaxy S II

Canadian wireless provider Bell will soon launch a high-speed LTE service of its own soon, according to 'reliable' sources speaking to TekTok Canada. Bell will initially offer two LTE devices, both from Samsung and with the Galaxy S II LTE smartphone and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE.

Meantime, competitor Rogers has already launched its 4G service in Ottawa and will bring it to Toronto on September 28.

Samsung contacted TekTok Canada and claimed that the information is based on rumors and is not true. Bell has long promised an LTE network, however, and it would need devices to support the network. LTE promises maximum theoretical download speeds of 150Mbps.

Many expect Bell to bring out its LTE network before year's end.
