Google begins Android 2.3.6 rollout for Nexus S

In order to address the issue some users faced with its Voice Search feature, Google has released the Android 2.3.6 update starting with the Nexus S. The frustrating problem would have the feature active itself without any user input, making the devices unusable at times. The news broke on the Google Mobile Help Forum.

While the update will take several days to reach all Google Nexus S owners, those on Bell, Rogers and Telus networks in Canada have reported already getting it. AT&T and T-Mobile Nexus S owners, along with those using the Nexus S 4G, should get it as well. Other changes are also expected, including security patches. [via MobileSyrup]
