Stratosphere would be Verizon's first 4G slider

Last month a placeholder page appeared on the Verizon website, hinting that a new handset dubbed the Samsung Stratosphere would be revealed soon. Sources at Pocketnow claim to have images for the new smartphone, which they describe as an LTE QWERTY slider. Some have speculated that the Stratosphere may be Verizon's version of the Galaxy S II, which has already landed at the other major US carriers.

The Stratosphere would be Verizon's first 4G slider. Full specs on the handset are still unknown, but it will have a five-megapixel camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

Verizon has not announced pricing or availability for the Samsung Stratosphere. [via Pocketnow]
