White sibling to black verrsion now avialable

Vodafone has added a white Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone to its portfolio to sell alongside its black version. The phone is available at no cost with a two-year £36 ($58 USD) monthly contract.

As with the black version sold by Vodafone, the white model runs Android 2.3 and carries a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, a 1.2GHz dual core processor, a back-facing eight-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus, a front facing two-megapixel camera, and FM radio.

The Galaxy S II has been very popular in Europe since its introduction in May. In its first 55 days of availability, it sold over three million units. The phone has not yet reached US shores, where it will be sold by AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. Sprint will be the first to offer it in the US. Branding it the Epic 4G Touch, the carrier will start shipping it September 16.
