App moves beyond clips and previews

NBC has released an update to its iPad app, which finally enables users to watch full episodes. Earlier versions had limited content to short clips and relevant material such as show information, however the latest release adds the ability to stream full-length television shows. Users can also access photo galleries, recaps and games.

Aside from the full-length upgrade, the latest version is also claimed to bring a number of bug fixes and performance improvements.

The company also released an update to its companion app, NBC Live. Version 1.3 adds the option to log in using Facebook, Twitter or Google accounts, while the social stream interface has been revamped with interactive slides when a show is off air. The slides also enable users to view videos and photos, or play games.

The NBC app and NBC Live are now available as free downloads from the App Store. [via AppAdvice]
