ContourRoam camera adds underwater shooting

Active lifestyle camera maker Contour has just added a new offering to its range with the ContourRoam. It’s the company's first to be waterproof up to three feet, where it can record HD video as well. Users can pick from 1080p, 960p and 720p resolutions, all at 30FPS.

Like the company's flagship Contour+, it gets a 170-degree rotating lens which can also rotate by 270 degrees, as it's meant for extreme athletes who may not always be horizontal with the ground or other points of reference. To this end, a horizontal laser can be projected to align shots. Also different compared to the flagship, the Roam has a built-in battery, instant-on record feature and a built-in tripod mount.

The camera can shoot underwater for as long as 30 minutes. It should be available now for $200.
