Handset to feature Cricket's Muve Music service

Cricket Wireless has announced that it is set to launch Samsung's Vitality handset, which will be the company's first Android device to offer Muve Music service. The introduction confirms earlier rumors pointing to a new handset that is nearly identical to the Admire handset offered through competing carrier MetroPCS.

The Gingerbread-based smartphone is geared for the budget-conscious consumer, offering an 800MHz processor, a 3.5-inch touchscreen with 320x480 resolution, and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

The unlimited music feature, based on Cricket's own service, will be included in the carrier's $65/month plan, alongside unlimited voice minutes, text messages and data. The basic device ships with a 4GB microSD card, however customers can choose to upgrade to an 8GB card for additional music storage.

The Vitality is set to launch sometime next week for $200 after a $20 instant rebate.
