Microsoft Taiwan page to bring Mango news Friday

A Microsoft Taiwan mini-site devoted to the release of Windows Phone Mango update is showing off a September 9 date. Whether this means the actual update is due tomorrow or just when the site will go live remains to be seen. It's more likely this will be just information related to the software update, as other rumors hint the updated OS won't go live until closer to the end of September or in October.

HTC said it would ship two handsets in early October with the Radar and Titan, while Microsoft should release the update to existing phones late in September.

It's unlikely Microsoft is keen to repeat its delayed NoDo update roll-out, which took four months to get to all devices. It will probably ship Mango to all handsets at the same time.

Mango will bring more than 500 new features to Windows Phone and will include multitasking, Windows Live Messenger integration, and Bing improvements. [via WinRumors]
