HTC Bliss may appear at NYC gathering
HTC dropped a strong clue as to the release timing of the Bliss with an invite it sent to members of the media. The notice points to a September 20 gathering in New York City. Little is mentioned as to the contents, but a request to "come celebrate in style" and the use of the Bliss' expected seafoam green and possible purple colors.
The Bliss has already drawn criticism as it's understood to be a "women's" phone with specific features. If consistent, it should be a lower-end Android phone with an 800MHz processor but with extras. A charm-like attachment should give it notifications of calls and messages without having to find the phone in a purse, and it may include a specially designed Bluetooth headset and dock. Verizon may be the only confirmed carrier.
Other candidates could be the Vigor for Verizon, the Holiday 4G phone for AT&T, and the Amaze 4G for T-Mobile.
It might also serve as an introduction for the Radar and Titan, although Microsoft is rumored to want a coordinated, multi-designer US launch like it had last year.
