Details still lacking on touchscreen 9700 refresh

Some new information has leaked out about the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9790. BGR has posted some pictures showing that the new smartphone will still come with both a QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen display. It appears to be slightly smaller than its sibling, the 9900, which recently hit T-Mobile's shelves at the end of August.

Mostly based on the Bold 9780 ancestor, the 9790 is expected to carry a five-megapixel camera, 8GB of built-in storage, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi and probably a 1.2GHz processor like the 9900. Such choices would dictate BlackBerry 7 and much faster overall performance.

News of the 9790 first leaked in May. The smartphone could hit the market before the end of this year.
