HTC Runnymede press image confirms close design
HTC's Runnymede was reinforced Monday with a discovery of a press shot. The phone is now near certain to be an Android conversion of the Windows Phone-based Titan and will share the 4.7-inch, 480x800 screen. Accordingly, what PocketNow saw would be an unusually mid-range device for the big screen, carrying a single-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon and either 16GB or 32GB of storage.
Most of the focus of the Runnymede is expected to be in the Beats audio. An eight-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera will again be similar to the Titan. Android 2.3.4 with HTC's Sense UI should come standard.
A release date is still a mystery for the smartphone, although the earliest opportunity is a September 20 New York City event where it might show side-by-side with the Bliss. Alternately, the Runnymede could appear at the CTIA show on or near October 11.
