TNT joins TV networks with iPad apps featuring full episodes

updated 12:10 pm EDT, Mon September 12, 2011

Still restricted to channel subscribers

Turner-owned cable network TNT has released its first iPad app, simply titled TNT for iPad. The software allows access to complete movies and TV shows, although as with some other apps, users must prove they already have access to the network through a conventional TV provider. Some other content includes clips, episode guides, and show schedules and reminders.

Integrated social networks include Twitter, Facebook and the media-specific service GetGlue. While watching full-length videos requires a cable or satellite subscription, the app itself is a free download. Users must have an iPad running iOS 4.2 or better.
