Sprint briefing workers on October iPhone 4 launch?

Claim has Sprint iPhone 5 shipping in 2012

Sprint officials have started briefing workers on an imminent launch of the iPhone 4, an anonymous salesperson with the company claims. People are reportedly being told that the phone will launch on Sprint next month, using standard data plans. These should include a $10 charge imposed on smartphone data.

The salesperson also suggests that according to the briefing, Sprint will be carrying a 4G-capable iPad. The company may, however, have been referring to its current scheme, in which people can bridge a 4G hotspot with an iPad's Wi-Fi connection. Apple is not expected to ship a product with built-in 4G until 2012, owing to limitations with current chipsets.

The person lastly claims that Sprint may not get the iPhone 5 until 2012, possibly until early spring. If accurate the source's information contradicts most expectations, which are that the iPhone 5 will ship for Sprint at the same time as it reaches AT&T and Verizon in October. Having just the iPhone 4 would also serve little purpose for Sprint, since subscribers wanting advanced hardware would either have to pick an Android phone or jump ship to get the iPhone 5.

    All about price

If Sprint carries an iPhone 4 for a really low price, that could be attractive for a lot of people. Wouldn't be the first time Apple shipped two generations concurrently.
