Curve 9380 hands-on reveals coming soon to Telus

RIM's first touchscreen-equipped BlackBerry Curve, the 9380, has been handled by BGR, suggesting the device is closer to shipping. The device resembles the Bold on its top half and the Torch 9850 on the bottom. The rear is very close in appearance to a traditional Curve-series smartphone.

A source at Telus also told BGR that the device is coming sooner than many expect, which should mean sometime in 2011 and not, as some believed, early next year.

Known specs include an 800MHz processor, 3.25-inch touchscreen display, a five-megapixel camera with 720p video capture support, 1GB of built-in memory and NFC hardware for short-range wireless payments and tags.
