Epic 4G Touch, Galaxy S II variant hits Sprint

The Samsung Epic 4G Touch is now available for purchase through Sprint. The Galaxy S II variant centers on a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. The phone incorporates a WiMAX radio and is capable of reaching 4G download speeds up to ten-times greater than 3G where available.

The Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) device also incorporates an 8-megapixel camera capable of shooting HD video, while it is also fitted with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. The device measures just 0.4-inches thick.

The Epic 4G Touch is priced at $199 with a new two-year contract, although if buyers wish to enable the device's in-built Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, this will cost an additional $30 per month on top of the chosen phone plan.
