Bracketron unveils motorized in-wall iPad dock

updated 06:20 pm EDT, Wed September 21, 2011

Dock opens with posh of a button then auto closes

Bracketron is bringing a motorized in-wall iPad mounting system to the US, Canada, and Mexico. The iDock, created by iRoom, an Austrian company specializing in home and office automation, mounts flush into a wall with either a portrait or landscape orientation. Touching a proximity sensing button opens the dock, and ten seconds after the iPad is inserted, it automatically closes.

In the likely event of a power failure, the dock automatically releases the iPad so it can be removed. The iRoom iDock is compatible with both the original iPad and current generation iPad 2s.

The iRoom iDock is available now with black, white, and brushed aluminum finishes for the faceplate bezel options. Bracketron has not released pricing.
