HTC Raider 4G ships to Korea first, US soon
HTC in a Korean launch confirmed a new flagship that's likely bound for the US. The Raider 4G is the production version of the Holiday and carries its predicted giant 4.5-inch, 540x960 screen. It's HTC's first truly new model to carry LTE and, when the network allows, can hit up to 100Mbps down or 50Mbps up on a 4G network.
It still has 21Mbps HSPA+ 3G as a fallback. Performance is high outside of the Internet access, with a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and an eight-megapixel rear camera with a uniquely wide f2.2 aperture for brighter shots. A 1.3-megapixel camera sits at the front, and Koreans get a DMB over-the-air TV tuner.
The Raider 4G is known to run Android 2.3 using Sense 3.0 rather than the Sense 3.5 seen on the Rhyme just on Tuesday.
No launches are public outside of Korea, but the phone has been seen running AT&T LTE and could ship as soon as next month. [via Android Community]
