T-Mobile and Cincinnati Bell Pros also get Mango

Dell announced on Thursday that the first of its Windows Phone 7 devices to get the Mango update will be the unlocked Venue Pro smartphone. Those in the US, India, Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the handset can expect the update to roll out sometime this fall. Owners of the handset locked to T-Mobile and Cincinnati Bell Wireless will also get the new code.

Those who bought their handsets tied to AT&T will need to be more patient, as Dell promises more information is coming when detailed plans are known.

The upgrade will be handled by Microsoft's Zune update. Mango, or Windows Phone 7.5, should bring with it multitasking, front-facing camera support, IM and Twitter integration, and an Internet Explorer 9-based web browser.
