AT&T to roll out WP& Mango from September 27

AT&T is expected to begin the long awaited Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) update to users starting September 27. The devices set to get the update are the HTC Surround, LG Quantum and the Samsung Focus. However, users of the HTC HD7 will have to wait until mid-October for their update.

Also having to wait a little longer are users of the Samsung Focus with rev 1.4 of Windows Phone 7. They will get their update at the end of October. Samsung Focus users running rev 1.3 will get their update on September 27.

Missing from the list entirely is the Dell Venue Pro, which is expected to receive its update through the web directly from Dell.

The Windows 7.5 (Mango) update brings with it a wide range of new features to Windows Phone that are largely already available to iOS and Android users. This includes the ability to use a Windows Phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, true multitasking and the ability to manage multiple email accounts simultaneously. [via WPCentral]
