Android-based Titan variant to launch October 7?
When HTC launches its new smartphone, code-named Runnymede, it will most likely not be called the Bass, as many had expected. Pocketnow now reports that the phone, which will be sold in packages offering Beats Audio accessories, will bear the name Sensation XL. The phone, which the company has still not officially announced, is most likely to have its formal debut at an upcoming HTC media event pegged for October 7.
The Runnymede/Sensation XL is said to be an Android variant of the company's Titan handset. Although details remain murky, features are expected to include a 4.7-inch 480x800 display, a single-core processor running at 1.5GHz, and a rear 720p-capable eight-megapixel camera paired with a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
The phone is expected to bear the Beats Audio logo. Rumors claim that it will ship in two Beats Audio-themed bundles: one with lower-cost iBeats earbuds and a special edition with Beats Solo over-the-ear headphones.
