Specs on-par with Epic 4G
Samsung's upcoming Stratosphere handset has been detailed in yet another leak. An internal document allegedly circulated to Verizon employees shows a chart with full specs for the Stratosphere, along with comparisons to Verizon's other LTE offerings and 4G handsets offered through other carriers. Although early rumors suggested the device may represent Verizon's Galaxy S II variant, the specs suggest it actually competes directly with handsets such as Samsung's Epic 4G sold through Sprint.
The document, which was posted by Droid-Life, suggests the device will integrate a single-core 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a four-inch display with 800x480 resolution. The QWERTY slider is also said to pair a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera with a five-megapixel primary camera.
Verizon labels the Stratosphere a "mid-tier" device, suggesting the price tag will fall much lower than the $250 and $300 costs of the carrier's high-end LTE handsets.
