Telstra branding the LTE phone simply the HTC 4G

The HTC Holiday has made an appearance at Telstra's 4g launch event. Although Telstra has branded it as the HTC 4G, photos posted by CNET show it to indeed be the Holiday under the hood. Telstra has been using 4G to describe its new LTE network and the phones that will run on it.

The Android-based Holiday is expected to offer a 4.5-inch 540x960 display, a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, a rear-facing eight-megapixel camera, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera.

In the US, the phone may be known as the HTC Raider 4G, and should be available by year's end or early 2012. Telstra is expected to release the phone along with a 4G/LTE tablet in the first half of 2012.
