Display folds flat for touchscreen use

Samsung is reportedly set to introduce its Series 7 all-in-one PC in the North American market. The 23-inch model features a thin display, as the computer components are fitted into the base that sits flat on a desk. The design enables the display to be tilted back by 90 degrees, touching the base and offering a horizontal plane for touchscreen use.

Standard features include Intel's Core i3 and i5 processors, HDMI input, and surface acoustic wave (SAW) touchscreen technology. The base also integrates a slot-load optical drive that extends slightly beyond the front of the display.

The Series 7 all-in-ones are expected to launch next month, with the Core i3-based entry model priced at $999. The top model with a Core i5 chip is said to cost $1,199, while a Best Buy exclusive will ship on October 10 for $1,099. [via CNET]
