Huawei MediaPad for T-Mobile spotted early
Photos of an upcoming 4G tablet from Huawei have been shared online on Thursday by TMoNews. Expected to be a US and 4G version of the MediaPad for Asian markets, an official reveal is expected at CTIA in October, though early specs include a seven-inch IPS touchscreen with a 1280x800 resolution and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
The storage space is 16GB, and Android 3.2 will be onboard. Flash 10.3 should be supported, and the tablet will get dual cameras along with a 4,100mAh battery that could give it a moderate amount of battery life.
TMoNews's sources indicate the tablet may cost as little as $200 with a two-year contract, though this is little more than a rumor. In Malaysia, it costs the equivalent of about $473 contract-free.
