Nokia Sabre and Sea Ray given away by Microsoft
Microsoft inadvertently spoiled plans for not one but two Nokia phones through a Canadian contest entry (since changed). A Windows Phone 7.5 App Challenge offered the winner one of four Windows Phones going by their codenames, including the Nokia Sea Ray and a previous uncorroborated second model, the Sabre. The second phone is expected to be a smaller, slightly lower end phone with a 3.7-inch screen and the need for a micro SIM card.
The Sea Ray is believed closer to the N9 with a 3.9-inch screen and eight-megapixel camera.
Nokia has officially only hinted at one phone but, if it ships the contest prizes soon, might hedge itself with a cheaper device. Any details should show at the Nokia World expo in late October.
The two Samsung phones, the Wembley and Yukon, are already likely to have an identity. Given Canadian tendencies to carry the same Windows Phones as in the US, the two are likely the Focus Flash and Focus S. [via WPCentral]
