Thrustmaster delivers every F1 fan's dream

Thrustmaster has unveiled the most technically complex steering wheel for gaming systems yet. Its Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-on is a full-size replica of the Ferrari Formula 1 2011 racing wheel that is used in Fernando Alonso’s F1 racing car. It is designed to be used with the Thrustmaster T500 RS which is purchased separately.

The wheel, which is compatible with both PC’s and the Sony PS3 includes 2x encoder rotary knobs, 8x dual-dent push-buttons, 3x 3-position metal switches with wheel re-centering, 2x high pressure, 8-directional D-pads, 2x up/down speed shifters (F1 “Push & Pull” style).

A firmware update for the T500 RS is required before the F1 wheel can be used. The Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-on will be available in early October for $200.
