Apple Japan retail site leaks iPhone 4S details

(Update: images) Apple's Japanese retail store listings have already spoiled the company's launch plans. An entry with missing pictures refers to the iPhone 4S. Local stores will launch it on October 14 at 8AM, consistent with most rumors and with Apple's habit of launching at 8AM the Friday a week afterwards.

Most other stores are likely to follow suit. The Japan presence snubs rumors that had suggested Apple would only launch a new iPhone in the US and Europe.

The spotting quashes hopes for a full-fledged remade design. Many of the details are still absent, however, including the processor, camera, and core design.

Tune into our live coverage for real-time updates at 1PM Eastern.

Update: Images for black and white versions of the iPhone 4S have already appeared and clearly show iOS 5 features in what looks to be an exact match for the iPhone 4 design. [via MacRumors]

So much for Hard Candy cases - says they're selling for both iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 -- it's pretty rare for someone to announce they have product ready before Apple announces.

    Holding Out

OK, here it is at the last minute and I'm still holding out for the redesigned iPhone 5. Maybe, just maybe, the iP5 is only going to be released in the US first and then other countries soon thereafter.

    get what you deserve

by reading rumors, blogs, etc. concerning IP5. It's only official from Apple. It would be a good idea if the news sources discounted EVERY hint or what something will be if they were wrong this time. They are hungry for their 15 minutes, or in this case, 15 seconds.
The IP4S sounds like a pretty neat piece of gadgetry and I want to get one. Holding out for something because it is redesigned hardware? Lame-o.
Apple's labs are always working, full time, hard time... but not for the rumor mills.
