LG Fantasy with Windows Phone tips up at FCC

updated 07:00 pm EDT, Wed October 5, 2011

CDMA phone may soon hit Sprint or Verizon

The elusive LG Fantasy may soon be coming to the US. A CDMA-based handset, bearing the model number LS831, has just been submitted by LG to the FCC in preparation for launch. Pocketnow speculates that the LS831 is actually the Fantasy, news of which first leaked out in July.

Most details of the Fantasy are unknown, although Microsoft's OS choice means it will target the mid-range with a single-core Snapdragon chip.

It is known that the LS831 has appeared in the Windows Phone Bench database. Putting the information filed with the FCC together with the WP Bench, it appears that either Sprint or Verizon may finally be getting a long-awaited phone that runs Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango).
