Xbox 360 Media Hard Drive boosted to 320GB

Microsoft gave Xbox 360 owners a path up in storage Tuesday with the 320GB Media Hard Drive. Those who have one of the slim Xbox models from mid-2010 onwards can slot the drive in to get the same space as special edition consoles. The upgrade in a first includes a reward for upgrades, who in most areas will get a download code for Lego Star Wars III in the box.

The drive doesn't need any tools to install but doesn't have an upgrade cable to transfer data from the old hard drive to the new.

Retail shops should have the drive as of today for the same relatively steep $130 that Microsoft has often charged for Xbox 360 upgrade drives.
