Lenovo IdeaPad U400 at Amazon for $920
Lenovo's recently introduced IdeaPad U400 has now gone up for sale on Amazon. The 14-inch notebook is priced at $920, and the 099329U model gets a 2.4GHz Core i5 processor and ATI's Radeon HD 6470M graphics processor with a dedicated 1GB of RAM. They're paired with 6GB of system RAM and a 750GB hard drive.
The screen resolution is 1366x768 and the keyboard cools the notebook by using the airflow between the keys. Buyers get a DVD burner along with a 1.3-megapixel webcam, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi and a preloaded copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports are present as well, and the battery life is rated at four hours.
The notebook is Lenovo's answer to Apple MacBook Air.
