Amazon Kindle 3.3 brings cloud to older Kindles

Amazon has posted a 3.3 update to give owners of the Kindle Keyboard (third-generation Kindle) some of the features of newer models. The update gives the same Kindle Cloud access as available on the Kindle Touch and fourth-generation Kindle. Its addition lets the e-reader store personal documents online for access on most Kindle devices, not just downloaded books, highlights, and notes.

The upgrade also gives the ad-sponsorted, Special Offers versions of the Kindle new support for Groupon-style AmazonLocal deals as well as a quick shortcut to turn on spoken out instructions.

Any 3G or Wi-Fi Kindle should qualify for the update. [via SlashGear]
