Sony Tablet S gets PSone games, 3D display dated

Sony said Wednesdaythat the PlayStation Store is now available to access from the company's Tablet S. It's also launching on other Android-based and PlayStation Certified devices in nine countries, including the US and Canada. Tablet S owners can now pick from one of ten PS1 games, each priced at $6.

They include Cool Boarders, Destruction Derby, Hot Shots Golf 2, Jet Moto, Jet Moto 2, Jumping Flash!, MediEvil, Motor Toon Grand Prix, Rally Cross, and Wild Arms.

Tablet S owners will get a notification informing them that the PS Store is available to download, with instructions taking users through the rest of the process.

Sony also revealed the North American ship date for its 3D Display unveiled at E3. The 240Hz, 24-inch screen will arrive on November 13 for its promised $500. It will include one pair of 3D glasses and a six-foot HDMI cable. A 2.1-channel audio system is built inside the screen, whose special trick is two-player PS3 play by showing different pictures two each player.
