Tablet S users get access to Sony Music Unlimited

Sony Network Entertainment followed up its earlier announcement of the PlayStation Store coming to the Tablet S with another one that has the company's Music Unlimited streaming service launching on the device as well. The Music Unlimited 1.2 app will bring it to the Tablet S and other Android-based tablets. The new app sports a fresh interface that allows subscribers to create playlists more quickly, discover new artists and songs and navigate between album and catalog view.

The cloud-based offering is already available for compatible Android-powered smartphones. The service is live in nine countries and offers more than 10 million tracks worldwide. First-time subscribers to the Music Unlimited service with the Sony Tablet S can get a free, 180-day trial of the Basic subscription plan. After that period, it will cost $4 per month, while a Premium subscription that adds full on-demand control rather than professionally-managed stations costs $10 per month.
