Leica shows limited edition D-Lux 5 camera

Leica has brought back the D-Lux 5 point-and-shoot camera in a new luxury model, the Titanium. A rebadged Panasonic LX5, its core addition is the use of the genuine, anodized titanium. The insides remain unchanged and include a 10-megapixel, compact-sized CCD sensor.

Also included with the camera is a premium leather carrying case and a carrying strap that evoke a retro design.

The camera can record 720p videos and has a 3.75X DC Vario-Summicron lens. How much more money than the D-Lux 5's $983 price tag the Titanium commands remains to be seen when the camera becomes readily available.
