Ireland, Spain, Sweden among major regions

Apple has opened up iPhone 4S preorders to 22 previously unserved countries. The phone is now available in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Shipping times are typically listed at one to two weeks, a delay consistent with the US online store.

The 4S initially launched on the 14th in just a handful of countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US. Apple will continue rolling out the device to new regions throughout the remainder of 2011, and likely well into 2012. At the moment, various models of iPhone are available in 105 countries.

As long as they buy through Apple

If on the other hand they were buy through AT&T's "preorder" option (good thing they cannot) they would still be waiting. I ordered first thing 10/7/11 through AT&T and my order is still on back order. They are telling me now another 2 weeks. Time to report my credit card as lost.

Even more countries you can buy an unlocked iPhone in when they are still unavailable in the US until November...

Tim, please, at least let me preorder and get in the queue...
